Bringing African music to the world!

AfriWorld is a Toronto and Cape Town based organisation with a mission to build musical bridges between African and Canadian artists. Along with live performances we also present workshops, recordings and musical collaborations with an emphasis on indigenous arts. We also seek to foster meaningful partnerships to market African music in Canada, and for Canadian African artists to access the African market.

AfriWorld is an initiative by Michael Stohr, a founding member of Music Africa in Toronto, long time leader of Afrofest, and 25+ year long host of the African music program Karibuni on 89.5 CIUT-FM Toronto.
